How to check image size and dimensions

  1. Add one or more JPEG, PNG, or WebP images.
  2. Read each image's dimensions, file size, format, pixel count, aspect ratio, and orientation.
  3. Clear or replace the selection whenever you want to inspect different files.

What details does this checker show?

Each accepted image shows its filename, declared MIME type, recognized format, file size in bytes and a readable size, width, height, total pixels, simplified aspect ratio, and orientation.

What is an aspect ratio?

Aspect ratio compares width to height in its simplest whole-number form. For example, a 1,920 × 1,080 image has a 16:9 aspect ratio. Landscape images are wider than they are tall, portrait images are taller than they are wide, and square images have equal dimensions.

Formats and limits

Inspect up to 20 JPEG, PNG, or WebP images at once, with a maximum source file size of 20 MB each. Files are checked locally and stay on your device.

Does this checker show DPI or image metadata?

No. This tool reports the image facts listed above. It does not read or report DPI, print size, EXIF or GPS data, color profiles, bit depth, quality settings, or compression ratios.

After checking the source facts, resize images, convert their format, or compress them to a 100 KB maximum when that is the next task.
